Aviation and Drone Insurance

From planes and helicopters to commercial drones and airport operations, we help you manage the risks of your aviation activities.

Who is it for?

  • Individuals and companies that own, operate or lease an aircraft
  • Businesses flying drones commercially, including film, survey and mapping teams
  • Airport, apron and ground handling operators
  • Airlines and professional pilots
  • Businesses that carry or ship air cargo

What is Aviation and Drone Insurance and what does it do?

In aviation, the margin for error is small; the consequences of a single incident can be huge, both financially and legally. Whether you operate an aircraft or work with a commercial drone, the need for protection is just as serious.

Aviation insurance uses hull cover to protect the aircraft against damage on the ground, while taxiing and in flight, and liability cover to protect you against your obligations to third parties, passengers and the cargo carried. Cover that protects people, such as pilot loss of licence and seat-based personal accident cover, is part of the same package.

For drones, third-party liability cover is the foundation, and hull cover for the drone itself can be added on request. We look at the type of operation, the flying area and the class of aircraft to put together the right set-up for you.
