Private Health Insurance

Comprehensive health cover that doesn't depend on SGK: strong protection for inpatient treatment and, once you meet the conditions, a lifetime renewal right.

Who is it for?

  • People without SGK cover, or who want cover that doesn't depend on it
  • Anyone who wants complete freedom to choose their doctor and hospital
  • Parents who want long-term cover for the whole family under one policy
  • People who want the option of treatment abroad included in their cover
  • Those who want to start young and earn a lifetime renewal right

What is Private Health Insurance and what does it do?

Private Health Insurance lets you build your own health cover without relying on SGK (Türkiye's Social Security Institution). You decide which hospital to go to and which doctor to see; we take care of the share of the cost set out in your policy.

On the inpatient side, costs such as surgery, intensive care, room and meals are broadly covered. For outpatient care, doctor's visits, medicines, lab tests, imaging such as MRI and CT scans, and physiotherapy are covered within the limits of the plan you choose.

Anyone aged 64 or under can take out this policy for the first time, and separate policies can be arranged for children aged 0–17. You can broaden your cover with options such as maternity, dental, check-ups and earthquake, and once you meet the conditions you earn a lifetime renewal right, so your cover can carry on for years to come.

What's covered

What does the policy cover?

Depending on the package you choose, some or all of the cover below can be added to your policy.

01

Inpatient Treatment

All treatment that requires a hospital stay is at the core of the cover. In our plans, inpatient treatment is the strongest benefit.

02

Surgery Costs

Theatre, surgeon, anaesthesia and the medical supplies used during surgery are covered. When an operation is needed, you don't have to start working out the cost.

03

Intensive Care

Time spent in intensive care is paid for in line with your policy terms. In long treatments, this is the most important protection of all.

04

Room, Meals and Companion

Your room, meals and a companion's costs are covered for as long as you're in hospital. Having a loved one stay with you doesn't add to the bill.

05

Outpatient Treatment

Doctor's visits, tests, imaging, medicines and physiotherapy are covered within the limits of the plan you choose, looking after your everyday health needs too.

06

Medication

Prescribed medicines are covered for both inpatient and outpatient treatment. For long-term treatment, this makes a real difference.

07

Diagnostics

Advanced imaging such as MRI, CT and PET-CT, as well as lab tests and endoscopic procedures, are covered, so you don't have to put off tests while getting a diagnosis.

08

Maternity Cover

For an extra premium, normal and caesarean births can be added to your policy. A waiting period applies, as required by regulation.

09

Check-up

Policyholders in the eligible age group get one check-up a year. Regular check-ups are the easiest way to catch problems before they grow.

10

Dental Package

You can use basic dental services such as check-ups, X-rays, fillings and extractions, so you don't need a separate budget for your teeth.

11

Treatment Abroad

Depending on your plan, treatment received abroad can also be covered. If your travel or lifestyle regularly takes you abroad, this becomes important.

12

Lifetime Renewal Guarantee

Once you meet the policy conditions and renew without a break, your cover continues whatever your age or health. This right is the clearest reward for starting early.

Cover, exclusions and limits vary with the package you choose and the policy's general and special terms. To work out the right set of cover for you, call us on 0850 303 28 66.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about Private Health Insurance

If your question isn't on the list, give us a call. We'll keep explaining until it all makes sense.

If you have SGK, we'd suggest looking at Complementary Health Insurance first, which works alongside SGK and has a lower premium. If full freedom to choose your doctor and hospital, treatment abroad or using non-contracted providers matters to you, private health insurance is the better choice.

You need to renew your policy without a break and meet the period and conditions set out in your policy's special terms. Once you've earned this right, illnesses that come up later won't stop your policy from being renewed.

As a rule, pre-existing conditions are either excluded or limited by special terms. Filling in your health declaration fully and accurately is essential to avoid problems when you make a claim.

Yes. Spouses and children can be insured under the same policy. Children aged 0–17 can also have their own policy, separate from their parents.

You can be treated at non-contracted providers: you pay yourself and send us the invoices. You're then reimbursed at the rates and limits set out in your plan.

Premiums are updated at each renewal based on factors such as age group, medical inflation and how the policy has been used. We'll share the new premium and any alternative plans with you ahead of renewal.

You can take out a policy for the first time up to the age of 64. Starting early is better for both your premium and your lifetime renewal right.
